The processing accuracy of the rolling machine is affected by the radial runout of the main shaft, which is caused by both sliding bearings and rolling bearings.
1、 The effect of using sliding bearings on the pure radial runout of the main shaft. When the rolling machine uses sliding bearings as support, the main shaft rotates in the bearing hole with its journal. For lathe type rolling machines, during the machining process, the direction of force on the spindle is fixed, and the spindle journal is pressed towards a fixed position on the surface of the bearing hole by cutting force. At this point, different parts of the main shaft journal come into contact with a fixed part in the bearing hole. The roundness error of the journal will cause pure radial runout during the rotation of the main shaft, while the shape error of the bearing hole has little impact on the accuracy of the main shaft rotation. The cutting force acting on the spindle rotates with the rotation of the boring tool, and a fixed part on the journal contacts different parts of the bearing hole surface. Therefore, the roundness error of the bearing hole can cause pure radial runout of the boring machine spindle, while the shape error of the boring machine spindle journal has little effect on the spindle rotation accuracy.
2、 The effect of using rolling bearings on the pure radial runout of the spindle. When the main shaft of the rolling machine is supported by rolling bearings, the factors that cause pure radial runout of the main shaft are not only related to the accuracy of the bearings themselves, but also to the accuracy of the matching parts of the equipment's bearings.
